As a general rule of thumb, I am interested in all things that are linked to the individual and social experiences of disability. In particular, I am fascinated by projects that seek to unpick the positive and negative ways in which technology can have impact on the life and the wellbeing of people with disabilities.
Some specific areas of interest that I am actively working on (or trying to find the time to work on) are:
- Media, disability and assistive technology portrayal
- Technology for accessible sexual interactions
- Gaming and disability (inclusive character development, role play games, XR…)
- Assistive technology beyond utilitarianism (see this editorial for an explanation of what I mean by it)
- Disability, assistive technology and sports
If you are interested in the full list of my publications you can find it on my Google Scholar Profile.
